Building the PDF and checking every page
Build PDF compiles an IEEE, ACM or APA project with every figure and table. Each page is rendered and checked; the AI can look at every page too.
Templates
| Template | For |
|---|---|
| IEEE (journal or conference) | IEEE journals, including IEEE Access, and IEEE conferences |
| ACM (acmart) | ACM journals and conferences |
| APA 7 | Journals that use APA style |
Changing the template keeps your text: only the LaTeX preamble, the citation style and the layout change.
What a build includes
The PRISMA flow diagram, charts, the taxonomy, the justification table, the per-category tables (Table A and Table B), the appendices (including the quality table) and the references. Generated tables are sized to the text width: a classification with many options turns its headings sideways or continues in a second table instead of running off the page.
Every page is checked
A build renders each page to an image and checks it:
- nothing may be printed outside the margins or off the page;
- no line or table may be too wide for its column;
- no reference may be unresolved.
The Pages pane shows every page with what was found on it.
Check every page with AI has the AI look at each page image for what rules cannot see: overlapping labels, a broken figure, leftover placeholder text, an account name on the author line.
The autopilot does both checks when it builds the PDF, sends problems that sit in a section's own text back to be fixed, and builds again.
Downloading
Download the PDF, or the LaTeX project as a ZIP for a journal's submission system. A build needs a LaTeX distribution on the computer that builds it; on a site without one, worker computers build the paper. See Where the site runs.
When a build fails
The message says where LaTeX stopped and why, for example a citation key that does not exist. Fix it in the section's LaTeX (or ask the AI to write the section again), then build again.
