Writing the manuscript

Each section is drafted from what your review recorded and from your own points, never from the AI's memory. The steps from data to paper, author inputs, notes, writing with AI and by hand, and versions.

The Manuscript tab turns the review into a paper. The AI writes from the review's facts (searches, decisions, extracted data, ratings, discussions) and from your notes, not from what it may know.

From data to paper

The tab shows the steps in order, each with a link to where it is done: research questions, extracted data, rated surveys, author inputs, writing style, drafts, PDF. You can write at any time; the more steps are done, the more the draft rests on your data and your reading.

Author inputs

Every section asks for your points, in short:

  • motivation and contributions;
  • the gap in prior surveys;
  • per category: the takeaways and the studies that must be cited;
  • cross-cutting patterns and challenges;
  • threats to validity;
  • the main message.

Required inputs are marked with *. The AI builds each section on them, and reviewers check that the draft reflects them.

Notes for the paper

From the extraction workspace, conflict discussions, full-text screening or related work, Note for the paper sends a point straight to a section's inputs, tagged with the study's citation key. The study's own category section is chosen by default.

What each section receives

  • Category sections get each study's extracted data, screening notes and discussion excerpts. A study gets its full account only in its main category's section.
  • The synthesis gets every category's takeaways.
  • Two tables per category: Table A (approach and mechanism, every study in the category) and Table B (results and cost, the studies whose main category it is). With "Raw numbers stay in the tables" on, the prose explains and points to Table B instead of reciting numbers.

Writing a section

For each section you can:

  • Write with AI, or write as an AI co-author (in that persona's voice);
  • give guidance: arguments, emphasis, studies to feature, structure; it is part of the prompt every time the section is written again;
  • ask the AI or a co-author to review it;
  • edit the LaTeX yourself: cite with \cite{key} using the citation keys of included studies and surveys, refer to figures and tables with \ref{label}; unknown citation keys the AI writes are removed;
  • lock what you are happy with, so it is not rewritten;
  • restore an earlier version.

Facts, not memory

The process record lists everything the paper reports, compiled from what the app recorded. The methods section is drafted from what was actually done, so the PRISMA counts and the text always agree.
