Inviting co-authors and working together
Add people to a review's team, what access they get through your plan, and how a team works together on one review.
Adding people to a review
- Open the review's Config tab (the team section) or its Team tab.
- Find the person by name or e-mail address. They need an account on the site: if they do not have one yet, invite them to join first (see Joining, logging in and your account).
- Choose their role: co-author, reviewer or viewer. See Roles.
What access they get
A member of a review may use the app for that review while an owner of the review holds a plan that gives app access (or is an administrator). They do not need a plan of their own. The owner's plan sets how many members per review get this access, in the order they joined; on the free Student plan that is up to six authors per review. Access through an owner's plan lasts as long as that plan does.
Working together
- Screening is independent. With blind mode on, nobody sees anyone else's votes until screening is done.
- Conflicts are discussed in a thread on each record, with AI co-authors replying when asked.
- Notes for the paper let anyone send a point to a manuscript section from wherever they are working.
- The Overview shows where the review stands and what is next, for everyone.
- The Board gives the team tickets and sprints for the work around the review. See The Board.
Agree on the criteria before screening, and screen a pilot of 20 to 50 records together. Teams that calibrate early have fewer conflicts later.
