Clone, lock, archive and delete a review
The four actions on a review's card. Archive a review once its paper is published: it is kept for good, read-only, with the publication's details and a ready BibTeX entry.
An owner finds these actions on the review's card on the Reviews page.
Clone
Make a copy of the review:
- everything: records, votes, discussions, extraction and the manuscript; or
- setup only: Config, criteria, team and settings, without records. Handy for the next review on the same pattern.
You can also reuse a previous review's writing style from the Manuscript tab (Writing style > Reuse a style).
Lock
A locked review is read-only for everyone until an owner unlocks it. Use it while a paper is under review, so nothing changes by accident.
Archive
Archive a review once its paper is published:
- everything that went into it stays: records, votes, discussions, notes, extracted data, files, the paper and its builds;
- it is read-only for everyone for good, and nobody can delete it, site administrators included;
- only a site administrator can take it out of the archive.
Archiving asks where the paper was published: DOI, title and authors as printed, venue, volume, issue, pages, date, publisher, URL, licence and a note. Look up fills them in from Crossref. The Overview then shows the publication as an IEEE reference with a BibTeX entry to copy. While archived, its owners can still correct these details and clone it.
Delete
Deleting a review removes it and everything in it. It cannot be undone, and an archived review cannot be deleted. Depending on the site's safety setting, you may be asked to type your e-mail address to confirm.
